Frosty Tatras

Winter near Tatra Streams and under Belianki
Winter under the Tatras can be really beautiful, and I have been discovering its charm more and more in recent years. Snow-covered trees and streams with views of the Tatras, frozen Štrbské pleso or even sunrises below Beliankske  Tatras. All this gives us many possibilities for taking pictures.
Each participant will receive the materials from the workshop in PDF, so that they can return to them at any time. All modification procedures are available in the form of video instructions, so it will definitely not happen that you forget the procedures by the time you get home :)

Workshop characteristics

The workshop is intended primarily for photographers and tourists interested in landscape photography. You can be a complete beginner who wants to explore the possibilities of your camera, or you can be an advanced photographer who would like to understand composition methods or working with light even more deeply. The course is intended for both groups of photographers. In addition, together we will learn how to use auxiliary equipment for field photography more effectively (tripod, tripod tips, cable release, filters), we will explain the importance of planning and something I call "systematic" photography. Over beer and food, we will later talk more about basic and advanced photo editing (RAW, exposure blending, time blending, focus stacking, etc.).

Workshop benefits

  • The High Tatras and their foothills provide a large number of motifs for winter photography.
  • we will visit the most beautiful locations
  • good mood and willingness to explain and thus pass on as much knowledge and experience as possible
  • pleasant accommodation where we always spend a relaxing evening taking photos

Note:
Winter conditions are unpredictable and must be taken into account. Snow is an unpredictable factor that is difficult to plan for. However, when planning the date, I based my personal experience from recent years.
Anyway, we will be waking up early, being out for a long time, and going to bed often late, and you have to be prepared for that :)

  • a basic wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens (ideally with a range from about 16mm to 200mm)
